One of my goals going into last year was to have some of the amazing weddings I get to be a part of featured on other blogs. My couples plan and prepare for one day well over a year in advance and they pull together some of the most incredible weddings! Some of my favorite wedding themes from last year include a backyard 4th of July picnic, luxurious black tie, Harry Potter, Gatsby Garden and a beach elopement just to name a few! None of these weddings were ordinary by any means and truly let each couple’s personality shine through. My hope in having unique weddings like these published is for planning brides to be inspired and think outside the box! Your wedding day should fit and exemplify who you are as a couple, whether that’s a black tie wedding in a castle or an intimate gathering in your own backyard with cotton candy and fireworks. Make it YOU and don’t worry about old traditions and stereotypes!
The second reason I made getting published a goal last year was to showcase the seriously talented vendors that surround each day! From planners to bakers and florists to stationary artists, these behind the scenes people bring the wedding day to life. At every wedding I am blown away by how these vendors take the couple’s vision and elevate it to something better than they expected!
Last week I got fantastic news that I was awarded the Two Bright Lights 2017 Editors’ Choice Award! This award notes that my weddings are in the top 5%, out of thousands of photographers, to be published through Two Bright Lights! I certainly didn’t earn this all on my own. This was earned by my detail oriented couples who invested in some of the best vendors in the Pittsburgh area! I’m thrilled to have so many inspiring weddings shared!
