On Monday of last week, I found myself driving to Pittsburgh at 3am to travel to Georgia. There I met with 3 other women, who were essentially strangers. We were on our way to the Pursuit Conference, but first we had to play a game of luggage Tetris in the back of our “mid class” rental car; a Prius C. You guessed it, the C stands for compact!! It was hilarious!! The car was packed! I wish I would have taken a picture of it. After lots of coffee, deep conversation, and 12 hours of driving, we finally made it to Rome, Georgia and the Winshape retreat center!
The Pursuit Conference is a three day event geared towards creative, entrepreneurial women who love Jesus. It’s a place of belonging, encouragement, sisterhood, rest, and all the coffee you can guzzle down! My time at the Winshape campus was amazing, and being able to learn from and talk with some HUGE role models of mine within the industry is something I’ll always cherish. Some of the incredibly uplifting and inspirational speakers included Hannah Brencher, Katelyn James, Sara Hagerty, Mary Marantz, Jon Acuff and so many more! If you’ve ever been on the fence about attending an event like this, do it! There is always room to learn and grow!
